Consultations

Therapists often find themselves overwhelmed with challenging cases and feel “stuck” not knowing why the client’s trauma “just won’t move,” or baffled by why a client destabilizes in between sessions.

I facilitate online Monthly Complex Trauma Consultation Groups, including but not limited to DBR Consultation Groups, Individual DBR Consultation, and EMDR Consultation, both group and individual, all which especially focus on increasing therapists’ confidence in working with complex trauma and dissociation and on addressing any clinical impasses that impact treatment. Consultees discover how to address blocks to treatment and how to get “unstuck” in their work with clients.

In addition, I am an EMDRIA Approved EMDR Trainer and Consultant, DBR Consultant, Chartered Psychologist (CPsychol) in the UK, and am licensed in Arizona as an LPC.

With my dedication to bringing Deep Brain Reorienting Therapy (DBR) to Arizona, I collaborated with Dr. Frank Corrigan, the creator of DBR Therapy, to launch DBR Therapy in the Southwest region of the United States. As a DBR Consultant endorsed by Dr. Corrigan, I provide Individual and Group Consultation to DBR Practitioners practicing nationally and internationally who aim to enhance their confidence in using DBR. Additionally, I receive ongoing consultation on my consultation services directly from Dr. Corrigan in my capacity as a DBR Consultant.

EMDR therapists and DBR therapists also come to me to learn how to partner with animals as part of the EMDR or DBR Therapy process. As a DBR Consultant and EMDR Consultant, I also offer Consultation around animal-assisted approaches to EMDR therapy and DBR therapy.

Frequently-Asked Questions about Consultations

Yes, I do offer a robust EMDR CIT consultation track and take applications on a rolling basis.

Complex Trauma Consultation groups are especially focused on increasing clients in working with complex trauma. These groups meet online, on a monthly basis, for a maximum of two hours per group, with a varied schedule. Consultees have the opportunity to staff and discuss challenging cases for increased support, as well as increased skill building. Consultees are asked to commit to a minimum of six months to support the cohesiveness of the group.

Consultation is solely to support your clinical growth, is not evaluative, nor is it supervisory in nature. Each consultation group is unique, so please contact me to determine what groups are available, as well as the specifics regarding any EMDR or DBR-related learning / consultation pathways.

Therapists can contact me to initiate the process.
