Consultations

Therapists often find themselves overwhelmed with challenging cases and feel “stuck” not knowing why the client’s trauma “just won’t move,” or baffled by why a client destabilizes in between sessions.

I facilitate online Monthly Complex Trauma Consultation Groups, that are focused on increasing therapists’ confidence in working with complex trauma and dissociation, and on addressing any clinical impasses that are impacting treatment. Consultees discover how to address blocks to treatment and how to get “unstuck” in their work with clients.

In addition, as the USA’s DBR Consultant-In-Training and is licensed in the UK, as well as Arizona, I coordinated with the creator of DBR Therapy, Dr. Frank Corrigan, to premiere DBR Therapy in the Southwest region of the United States.

I also offer Consultation in DBR Therapy for DBR Therapy Practitioners practicing nationally and internationally who seek to increase confidence in their use of Deep Brain Reorienting Therapy.

DBR therapists also come to me to learn how to partner with animals as part of the DBR Therapy process. I offer DBR Consultation around animal-assisted DBR. I especially enjoy helping DBR therapists learn how and why Animal-Inspired Reorienting is especially healing for those seeking to heal attachment-related distress.

Frequently-Asked Questions about Consultations

Yes, I can provide these types of consultation, but my availability is very limited. Those who are seeking EMDR Certification hours are more likely to be referred to an EMDRIA Approved Consultant In Training (CIT) that I may be in the process of providing consultation for.

Complex Trauma Consultation groups are especially focused on increasing clients in working with complex trauma. These groups meet online, on a monthly basis, for a maximum of two hours per group, with a varied schedule. Consultees have the opportunity to staff and discuss challenging cases for increased support, as well as increased skill building. Consultees are asked to commit to a minimum of six months to support the cohesiveness of the group.

These consultations do not count towards EMDR Certification. Consultation is solely to support your clinical growth, is not evaluative, nor is it supervisory in nature.

Yes. If we have been in contact with each other and agreed to move forwards, you would be invited to complete the consultation agreement form found here.
